Winter driving with your Maserati

With winter comes snow and other road hazards when driving.  It’s important to have a vehicle that is prepared for the road conditions – whether you’re looking at purchasing a newer vehicle or bringing your current one in for a full routine maintenance.  There are some easy steps to take to make sure your drive will be safe and comfortable for you.

First and foremost, your Maserati should be kept to its suggested maintenance as listed in the user’s manual that came with your vehicle.  This means keeping up with the correct oil changes and routinely inspecting your brakes and timing belt.  Your battery should also be tested before the cold mornings begin, because the cold starts can make existing problems worse.

If you haven’t changed your windshield wipers in a long time, now is the best time to do it!  Wipers that don’t properly wipe away snow can cause streaks and larger problems that would affect your vision.  This goes hand in hand with making sure your windshield wiper fluid is always full and that your antifreeze tank is not leaking.

The tires on your Maserati vehicle should be properly inflated and the tread should be tested.  If the grooves of your tread don’t look deep, take a penny and put it upside down in one of the tread grooves.  If you can see the top of Abraham Lincoln’s head, it’s definitely time to get the tires replaced.

Here at Mike Ward Maserati near Denver, Colorado we have a large inventory of the brand new 2019 Maserati Levante – which is an amazing luxury SUV fully prepared for the winter weather.  You can stop in today to look at our selection to why it will be perfect for your all-weather driving.  Or, if you already own an incredible Maserati vehicle, bring it in today for a full check done by our team of certified technicians to make sure it’s ready for the winter.
